Vinegar Mention on the Dr. Oz. Show

The Dr. Oz Show featured a segment on “three hidden spots in your house that are aging you too fast,” including mold.  Green home expert, Daniel Sieberg suggested getting rid of mold by “…rolling up your sleeves, use bleach, vinegar, stringent, strong cleaning products [and] good scrubbing brushes.”

Vinegar Helps Clean the Danube River

In early October, a “toxic” sludge hit Kolontar, Devecser and other villages 160 km west of Budapest.  However, according to Hungarian disaster management officials, pouring plaster and acetic acid (vinegar) in rivers that flowed into the Danube “helped prevent a natural disaster by neutralizing the alkaline effect of the sludge.”
